OFFICIAL PLAN REVIEW AND UPDATE – SOURCE WATER PROTECTION POLICIES
The Source Protection Plan for our area has been approved by the Province and took effect on July 1, 2015. This affects all properties within the Township within the municipal well head protection areas (WHPAs). The Source Protection Plan protects existing and future municipal drinking water sources.
The Township launched the Source Protection Plan Implementation Study to review the Approved Source Water Protection Plan for the South Georgian Bay Lake Simcoe Source Protection Region. The intent of the Study is to implement the policies of the Source Protection Plan into the Township of Tiny's Official Plan and Zoning By-law as part of the Township's requirement to implement the policies in the Source Protection Plan. A formal Public Meeting under the Planning
Act was held on Monday, July 27th in order for the Township to obtain
additional comments and input on the proposed Amendments to the Official Plan
and Zoning By-law. The Township is currently awaiting the adoption of the
County of Simcoe Source Protection Implementation Official Plan Amendment prior to finalizing the Township Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law
