In January 2010, Council passed a Volunteer Management Policy. The policy outlines an overall framework for the recruitment and management of volunteers involved in the delivery of Township of Tiny services and/or special events. To read this policy, please click here.
The Recreation Department, with the help of volunteers and municipal staff, is currently developing a Volunteer Manual. This manual will address procedures from volunteer recruitment, to screening, to recognition.

Volunteer Opportunities within the Township of Tiny
Work with a team of four (4) to flood and maintain a local outdoor ice surface in Tiny. Five locations available; Perkinsfield, Lafontaine, Wyevale, Wyebridge, and Toanche.
For young teenagers ages 12 and up, interested in volunteering at March Break and Summer day Camps. Ideal for anyone looking to fulfill volunteer hour requirements, build their resumes, or simply looking for a week of FUN.
Coach a team of players aged 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, or 13-15 years old Wednesday nights in July and August.
Volunteers work in pairs to monitor, conserve, and protect the Tiny trail system.
To enhance and beautify parks, beaches, and public areas of the Township through an adoption program.
Volunteers work in pairs to monitor, conserve, and protect the natural resources of Tiny. Report hazards to the Township and clear pathways of debris i.e. sand from Tiny's public boardwalks and beaches.
A public service program facilitated by volunteers to enhance the Township by picking-up litter along Township roads, beaches, trails, parks, and properties.
A neighbourhood initiative to raise awareness about a community topic, cause, or simply a fun celebration. Click here for an application form.
