The Township of Tiny held its annual Community Barbecue on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Perkinsfield Park and seized the moment to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Canada and Ontario.
Festivities ran from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and featured local artists, artisans, musicians, a fun zone and community groups. The event also provided an opportunity for the Township's Heritage Advisory Committee to unveil the cross commemorating the former site of École Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens.
Thirty vendors participated in the event providing attendees an opportunity to browse and purchase local treasures. Approximately 1,200 Tiny residents enjoyed a complimentary barbecue including a Canada 150 cake and refreshments. Kids of all ages enjoyed the Fun Zone activities including pony rides, face painting, animal petting zoo, inflatable obstacle course, Kidz games and a variety of treats.
An impressive musical line-up throughout the day kept everyone tapping their toes! To view moments from Tiny's 2017 Community Barbecue, please click on the following link 2017 Annual Community Barbecue.
