Fire and Emergency Services: Operations (Suppression) Division
The Operations (Suppression) Division is comprised of 87 Firefighters and Officers (Volunteers) who respond to calls for assistance from five fire stations located throughout the Township.
They respond to a broad range of emergencies, including structure fires, motor vehicle collisions, entrapments/rescues, ice/water rescues, medical emergencies, hazardous materials responses, etc.
In 2016, our personnel responded to over 350 emergency calls for assistance.
Our emergency response fleet consists of five Pumpers, five Tankers, two light Rescues, one utility vehicle, and a Hovercraft.
This department also has achieved the Superior Tanker Shuttle Accreditation, which usually provides for discounted fire insurance rates for rural properties.
