Senior of the Year Award

The purpose of the award is to recognize an outstanding senior who, during or after the age of 65, contributed to the enrichment of the social, cultural or civic life of the Township of Tiny. Seniors who qualify for this award must have contributed in at least one of the following fields: arts, literature, community service, sports and recreation, volunteering, education, environment, fitness and/or humanitarian activities.

If you are, or know, a senior who is a Township of Tiny resident and is worthy of this award, please submit up to one page of details, including: reason for the nomination; the special work or service; the effect it had on the community; and who has benefited from these efforts. The nominator may include additional information with the nomination, including letters of support, copies of certificates, newspaper clippings and/or stories. An individual cannot be nominated for achievements related to a current political appointment.

The Award Selection Committee is comprised of a member of the Seniors Advisory Committee, a Township Elected Official, and the Committee Staff Liaison.
