The Township of Tiny Bursary Program assists students who are entering their post-secondary education, including courses and training programs of a technical and vocational nature.
There are five bursaries available in the amount of $1,000 each. Children of permanent and seasonal taxpayers in the Township of Tiny are eligible to apply. Approved applicants are not based upon scholastic standing, but rather on the successful admission status to a post-secondary institution leading to a recognized degree, diploma or certificate.
Applications must be submitted online no later than 4:30 pm on March 31, 2022. Applications received after the due date will not be eligible.
Bursary applications are anonymously vetted by a Selection Committee and scored based on a set criterion. The Committee consists of a member of Council, a member of the Senior Advisory Committee, a member of the Youth Advisory Committee, and a registered volunteer having a background in the educational field (e.g. teacher). The scoring criterion consists of the following categories: volunteer experience, essay response, post-secondary education length, and completeness & comprehension.
The Township of Tiny wishes to make this process an easy one for applicants. If you require additional clarification or assistance with your application, please contact the Township.
