Outdoor Rink Maintenance Seasonal Contract Positions

The Township of Tiny is seeking three (3) Contract Employees for Outdoor Rink Maintenance for a period from approximately December 1, 2022 to April 15, 2023. These seasonal positions will assist with flooding, snow removal and maintenance of outdoor rink activities. 

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Grade 12 education; 
  • Friendly and outgoing;
  • Willing to work with a team;
  • Ability to facilitate a variety of participant needs through assertive communication skills and listening techniques;
  • Consistent and reliable;
  • Physical strength;
  • Basic knowledge of rink construction and maintenance an asset;
  • Comfortable working with job specific equipment – shovel, hose, scraper, broom, etc.;
  • Hardworking and flexible;
  • Ontario Class “G” driver’s license in good standing;
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices;
  • Bilingualism an asset;
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a vulnerable sector security clearance conducted by Ontario Provincial Police prior to the commencement of employment.

The attendants will be required to work variable hours, which will include days, evenings, and weekends.
