Prepare: Emergency Preparedness

Be prepared for emergencies.

Emergencies are unexpected and can happen at anytime, anywhere. There are actions you can take that will help you be prepared for emergency situations.

Having at least a 72-hour emergency kit is everyone's responsibility. Residents need to be able to manage their household's needs on their own for at least 72-hours during an emergency so that first responders can focus on those in the greatest need. Due to the vast area and remoteness of some areas of our township, Tiny recommends being prepared for at least seven days. Having a 72-hour kit is a great start, but don't stop there! Work toward being as self-sufficient as you can. This ensures that no matter what happens, you'll be able to take care of your household, if help can't arrive right away.
