Water Fill Stations at Municipal Parks and Facilities

The Township of Tiny has installed accessible water fill stations at popular municipal parks and facilities across the township. These stations are available for users to refill water bottles while out enjoying the community.

The water fill stations are open seasonally, and the township aims to have the stations open between the long weekend in May through to Thanksgiving, annually.

Note: Closed locations are awaiting final Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit approval.

In 2011, the Township of Tiny became the first Blue Community in Ontario, and third in all of Canada. In order to become a Blue Community, a municipality must:
- recognize water and sanitation as human rights;
- ban or phase out the sale of bottled water in municipal facilities and at municipal events; and
- promote publicly financed, owned, and operated water and wastewater services.
The newly installed water fill stations emphasize the township's commitment to being a Blue Community by making clean drinking water easily accessible to the public.
