Current Rink Status

• R​​ules on the ice

  Users of the Out​door Ice Rinks do so at their own risk and therefore voluntarily assume all risks associated with use. An adult must supervise children at all times. The Township of Tiny does not assume responsibility for related risks or injuries.

  • The use of CSA-approved helmets is strongly recommended.
  • Only persons wearing skates are permitted on the ice surface.
  • Slap shots are not permitted at any time.
  • Refrain from use during periods of thaw when the ice surface is wet or soft.
  • Please respect the environment, disposing of litter in the appropriate receptacles provided.​
• Making our natural ice

  Creating and maintaining optimal ice conditions is crucial for an enjoyable skating experience. To achieve this, temperatures must stay consistently below -7°C for at least 5 consecutive days. This ensures the ice remains in good condition for everyone to enjoy.

• Borrow our equipment

  Lace up a pair of hockey or figure skates, grab a helmet, and hit the ice at no cost with our Outdoor Skating Loaner program.

  Available Equipment

  The loaner program boasts a diverse range of hockey and figure skates to accommodate various sizes. Helmets are available and are strongly recommended for all skill levels. Equipment is available while quantities last. Thanks to our generous sponsor, Competitive Edge Sports, all skates are sharpened at the beginning of each season.

  Request Process

  Getting your hands (or feet!) on the equipment is a breeze. Simply complete the online request form or contact the Recreation Department. Our dedicated staff members will promptly follow up with you to confirm your request and provide additional details. Please allow up to 3 business days for us to check our inventories.

  Duration of Availability

  The program is available for the entire duration of the seasonal outdoor rink season. So, whether you're planning a solo skate or a family outing, our loaner program is here to make it happen.
