Committee Opportunities

The Council of The Corporation of the Township of Tiny extends an invitation to those residents interested in serving on one or more of the following committees or boards for the 2026-2030 Term of Council:

  • Accessibility Advisory Committee (up to 6 members) – The majority of the members of the committee shall be persons with disabilities in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
  • Committee of Adjustment (4 members) – A valid Driver’s License in good standing is required with access to a personal vehicle to be used for monthly site inspections.
  • Heritage Advisory Committee (7 members)
  • Senior Advisory Committee (6 members)
  • Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (6 members)
  • Youth Advisory Committee (3 members ages 13-18 and 2 adult ally members)
  • Huronia Airport Commission (1 member)
  • Township of Tiny Events and Charities Committee (4 members)
  • Midland Public Library Board (1 member) - Public Library Board Members must be Canadian citizens, in accordance with the Public Libraries Act.
  • Penetanguishene Public Library Board (1 member) - Public Library Board Members must be Canadian citizens, in accordance with the Public Libraries Act.
  • Springwater Public Library Board (1 member) - Public Library Board Members must be Canadian citizens, in accordance with the Public Libraries Act.
  • Property Standards Committee/Fence Viewers (5 members)
  • Livestock Valuer (2)

Generally, all committees meet in-person on a monthly basis. All committee appointments are for the Term of Council (2026-2030) unless otherwise legislated. Applicants for the above committees must be at least 18 years old, except in the case of the Youth Advisory Committee where applicants must be 13 to 18 years old. Applicants must be residents of the Township of Tiny. Bilingualism (in English and French) is an asset. 

Interested applicants are asked to complete the Application for Township of Tiny Committees of Council by completing the application form below. 

Completed application forms can be submitted to Meaghan Eisbrenner, Committee Administrative Coordinator at clerks@tiny.ca or returned to the Township of Tiny Office at 130 Balm Beach Road West, Tiny, ON, L0L 2J0, Attention: Meaghan Eisbrenner.

The deadline for application submission is November 6, 2026 by 4:30 p.m.

Applications will be accepted until Friday November 6 at 4:30 p.m. Completed applications will be considered by Council following the 2026 Municipal Election and will take effect for the 2026-2030 Term of Council. Selected Applicants will be contacted by email by the Clerks Department.
