Ad Hoc Citizen’s Committee on Council Remuneration
2022-2026 Term of Council

The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Tiny extends an invitation to those residents interested in serving on the newly created Ad Hoc Citizen’s Committee on Council Remuneration (3 vacancies).

The Ad Hoc Citizen’s Committee on Council Remuneration will meet at least three (3) times prior to making its final recommendations to Council, with meetings being determined by Committee Members and staff. All committee appointments shall remain in effect until the Committee provides a report to Council in the second quarter of 2025, then it will be dissolved, unless otherwise legislated. Applicants for the above committee must be at least 18 years old. Applicants must be residents of the Township of Tiny . Bilingualism (in English and French) is an asset.

Interested applicants are asked to complete the Application or come to the Township Office at 130 Balm Beach Road West, Tiny . Prior to applying, applicants are encouraged to review the Committee Description below.

Completed application forms can be submitted by Thursday May 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to Meaghan Eisbrenner, Committee Administrative Coordinator by email to meisbrenner@tiny.ca or mail/drop-off to the Township of Tiny Office, 130 Balm Beach Road West, Tiny, ON, L0L 2J0, Attention: Meaghan Eisbrenner.

As part of the recruitment process, appointees will become volunteers as defined in the Township’s Volunteer Engagement Program. Personal information collected will only be used for candidate selection, in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act R.S.O., 1990, c.M.56.

Committee Description
The mandate of the Ad Hoc Citizen’s Committee on Council Remuneration is to examine the current level of remuneration for members of Council using a list of comparator municipalities determined by the Committee to examine compensation packages. The Committee will report to the Township of Tiny Council on findings and make recommendations as a result of the comprehensive review at the Committee of the Whole meeting for the benefit of the 2026-2030 Council Term.

The Committee shall consist of three (3) non-elected voting citizen members, two (2) non-voting members being the Chief Administrative Officer and one elected member of Council.
