TTAC Ad Hoc Committee Vacancy

The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Tiny extends an invitation to those residents interested in serving on the TTAC Ad Hoc Committee (1 vacancy). 

Applicants must be a resident/property owner of the Township of Tiny and 16 years of age or older with experience in one or more of the following areas:

a. Accessibility under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
b. Heritage and Culture
c. Parks and Recreation
d. Youth - Recreational and social issues impacting the younger population
e. Bilingual in French and English
f. Indigenous background

Interested applicants are asked to complete the Township of Tiny Committees of Council application form  at the bottom of this page. Appointees undergo a comprehensive onboarding program prior to attending a TTAC Ad Hoc Committee meeting. The meeting schedule is based on committee member and staff availability. Meetings are in-person and typically occur on the third or fourth Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at the Township of Tiny Administration Building in Council Chambers.

Personal information collected will only be used for candidate selection, in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act R.S.O., 1990, c.M.56.

Committee Description

The TTAC Ad Hoc Committee provides interested community members an opportunity to engage in the Administrative Centre Project in a positive and meaningful way. The mandate of the TTAC Ad Hoc Committee is to provide recommendations on various features and enhancements of the new administrative centre, as well as potential fundraising initiatives. The TTAC Ad Hoc Committee commenced after the July 2024 Public Information Centres (PICs). PIC public feedback, on features of the new administrative centre, will be reviewed by the Ad Hoc Committee for recommendations to the Township of Tiny Administrative Centre Committee. 

TTAC Ad Hoc Committee meets on an as-needed basis, at the call of the appointed Chair with the Committee being in place for the duration of the administrative centre construction.

The Committee consists of seven (7) non-elected citizen members and one (1) elected member of Council, a Staff Resource(s), and a Recording Secretary.
