Springwater Township Public Library Board Vacancy

The Council of The Corporation of the Township of Tiny extends an invitation to those residents interested in serving as the Township of Tiny representative on the Springwater Township Public Library Board (1 vacancy).

According to the Ontario Public Library Act, all members of the Library Board must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, a resident of the municipality or of a contracting municipality, not employed by the municipality.

The Springwater Township Public Library Board is responsible for governance of the Springwater Library in accordance with the Ontario Public Libraries Act. The Board has representatives who are residents of Springwater, one (1) Township of Springwater Council member, and  (1) member appointed by Township of Tiny Council to represent the Township. The meetings are conducted virtually on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

The appointee will undergo a comprehensive onboarding and training program prior to attending a Springwater Township Public Library Board meeting.
