As the most northerly township in the County of Simcoe, the Township of Tiny offers 70km of coastline along beautiful Georgian Bay. The municipality’s approximate population of 13,000 residents at least doubles in the summer as the region is a popular destination for both tourism and cottagers due to its beautiful waterfront areas and small-town appeal. 

 

The Township of Tiny is currently seeking 4 qualified candidates for the position of Outdoor Rink Maintenance Worker. 

 

Under the supervision of the Parks Operator Working Lead Hand, the Outdoor Rink Maintenance Worker assisting with flooding, snow removal and outdoor rink related maintenance. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma 
  • Excellent time management, organizational, teamwork and communication skills 
  • Basic knowledge of rink construction and maintenance considered to be an asset
  • Comfortable working with job specific equipment – shovel, hose, scraper, broom, hand tools, et cetera
  • Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence in good standing
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 
  • Bilingualism considered to be an asset

Hours of Work 

40 hours per week 

Rate of Pay 

$20.27 to $25.34 per hour
