As the most northerly township in the County of Simcoe, the Township of Tiny offers 70km of coastline along beautiful Georgian Bay. The municipality’s approximate population of 13,000 residents at least doubles in the summer as the region is a popular destination for both tourism and cottagers due to its beautiful waterfront areas and small-town appeal.

The Township of Tiny is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Skating Instructor. 

The Skating Instructor is responsible for the delivery of Tiny’s “Learn to Skate” and “Skating Basics” Programs. This position teaches basic skating skills to children at three of the Township's outdoor rinks. The Skating Instructor position is part-time/seasonal with shifts scheduled weekday evenings and the potential for weekend shifts depending on program needs.

Qualifications 

  • Experience teaching skating fundamentals to children considered to be an asset.
  • ‘NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport’ qualified or willing to obtain upon hire. 
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively.
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check prior to commencing employment.
  • Bilingual in French and English considered to be an asset.

Rate of Pay 

$20.27 to $25.34 per hour
