Budget & Financial Statements

The Township of Tiny would like to hear from you regarding  your input for the 2023 Budget 

Township residents can complete the brief, anonymous survey, which aims to provide valuable input on the service levels, budget priorities, long-term planning, taxation levels, and other considerations for the 2023 budget process. The survey can be accessed by following the link included below. Residents can also pick up a hard copy of the survey from the Municipal Office during regular business hours. The deadline for survey submissions is September 6, 2022, at 12:00 p.m.

2023 Budget Survey

Results from the 2023 Budget Survey will be used in the preparation of the 2023 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets, both of which will be presented to Council at the December Council meeting. The Budget process will continue through January with budget request presentations made by Township-supported Agencies, Boards, and Commissions; the public budget meeting; and deliberations, leading to the 2023 Budget being ratified in early 2023.

2022 Budget

The Township of Tiny budget supports the Municipality’s Strategic Priorities, which include:

  • Delivering efficient and exceptional municipal services;
  • Building economic prosperity and opportunity;
  • Promoting environmental responsibility and stewardship;
  • Supporting community health, safety and well-being; and
  • Creating an engaged, informed and connected community.

Council remains focused on a goal of longer-term financial sustainability in support of these services and programs.

As per Ontario's Municipal Act, the Township of Tiny prepares financial statements each year, in accordance with Canadian public sector accounting standards.  The annual audited statements are presented and approved by Council.
