The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) is responsible for the implementation of the Township of Tiny Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the Trails and Active Transportation Master Plan. The PRAC recommends the yearly priorities and presents the projects, along with cost estimates for those projects for staff to detail and confirm for the presentation to Council. The PRAC works proactively to promote trails, parks, recreation, and healthy active living initiatives in the Township of Tiny. The PRAC establishes an education and promotional strategy for trails and active transportation in the Township and works proactively to promote trail use and non-motorized transportation in the Township.
The Committee’s composition is comprised of six (6) non-elected members and one (1) elected member. Staff resources include the Director of Public Works or designate, the Director of Recreation or designate, the Senior Planner or designate, and the Community Recreation Coordinator as required.
