(Tiny, Ontario) The Township of Tiny is excited to invite the community to our annual Tree Lighting Celebration to officially kick-off the holiday season. Come out to celebrate with family and friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Perkinsfield Park (43 County Road 6 South). The official tree lighting will take place at 6:00 p.m.

The Tiny Township Lions Club will be collecting non-perishable food donations to distribute throughout the community to those in need.

The celebration will include a variety of delicious food and beverage options including hot chocolate, apple cider, holiday cookies, s’mores by the bonfire, and selections from the ‘toonie’ food trucks that will offer menu items priced at $2 each such as BeaverTails, sausages, hot dogs, and fries. Please note that quantities are limited and will be provided to residents on a first-come, first-served basis.

The evening will also feature live entertainment including a local choir and live music performances, a chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and an array of activities for children and adults.

“The annual Tree Lighting Celebration signals the start of the festive season here in Tiny,” said Mayor David Evans. “The event provides a fun and welcoming space for all members of the community to enjoy time with family and friends and build connections on a local level”.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony is proudly brought to you by various community sponsors and partners. The Township of Tiny would like to thank Lafontaine Iron Werks for their loan of fire pits, the Business Association of Balm Beach for their financial contribution, the Boys and Girls Club of North Simcoe and Springwater Public Library for hosting the craft activities, the Midland Public Library for providing the outdoor winter activities, and Tim Hortons for the hot chocolate.
