(Tiny, Ontario) Over the period of July 25 to July 27, Township of Tiny By-law Officers were on full patrol responding to calls ranging from parks, parking, and noise.

Township By-law Officers patrolled 165km throughout the municipality via bicycles. A total of 29 complaints were responded to for various concerns:

Fire Ban In Effect

As of midnight (12:00 a.m. July 30, 2025) a fire ban is in effect for the Township of Tiny. The Fire Danger Rating is Extreme. All open-air burning is prohibited during this time.

An extreme danger rating means extremely dry forest fuel and ground vegetation. The fire risk is very serious. New fires will start easily, spread rapidly, and challenge fire suppression efforts. Open air burning is prohibited, and permits are suspended.

Parks By-law – Campfires and Barbeques Not Permitted

The Parks By-law prohibits building, using, lighting, setting, and maintaining a fire or fire pit, and you cannot have a barbeque on any boardwalk or beach owned by the Township of Tiny.

Fireworks Prohibited

With the upcoming Civic Holiday long weekend approaching, the Township of Tiny would like to remind the community that Fireworks By-law 07-054, prohibits the display of and setting off of fireworks outside of Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Therefore, the discharge of fireworks is strictly prohibited within the municipality outside of these four days. Concerns regarding non-compliance and specific details of the address where the violation is occurring can be reported to the Municipal Law Enforcement Department at 705-526-4204. Non-compliance may result in the issuance of a warning, a charge with fines ranging from $365.00 to $100,000.00, or a summons to appear in court.
