(Tiny, Ontario) The Township of Tiny remains in a Significant Weather Event declaration as per Regulation 239/02 of the Municipal Act

The Township of Tiny Municipal Emergency Control Group continues to monitor the ongoing evolving post-ice storm situation. Updates will be provided through social media over the weekend, and the township will reassess the Significant Weather Event status on Monday.

As this significant event continues, be a good neighbour and check on those around you.

The township continues to be in contact with our partner agencies to receive updates about power restoration and are encouraged to see that power has been restored to most areas of the township.

As things return to normal for most residents, we will be resuming recreation programming on Monday, April 7, 2025. Road and Trail Conditions

As a result of the significant freezing rain and rainfall, staff are working to deal with widespread flooding across the township.

  • Road Closures in Effect:
    • Concession 4 West between 201 Concession 4 West and Crossland Road
    • Wildman Side Road
  • Roads may be impacted by downed trees and power lines. If you cannot avoid travel, please drive with care.
  • Township staff continue to clear roads, respond to downed trees, and address road conditions.
  • Tiny Rail Trail has multiple trees down blocking the trail in several locations. Residents are asked to avoid using the trails until the township can perform cleanup along the trail.

Temporary Warming Centres

As the weather forecast looks positive for this weekend and power has been restored to most residents in Tiny, we will be leaving the warming centre at the Township Office open until 4:30 p.m. today (April 4, 2025), and it will be closed after this. The warming centre at the Wyebridge Community Centre is now closed.
