(Tiny, Ontario) The Township of Tiny kicked off the construction of the new Toanche Pavilion with an official groundbreaking. Members of Council, staff, and representatives from Bertram Construction were on site to mark this project milestone.

Construction activity will continue throughout the summer with a target completion date to have the new facility ready to use for the 2026/2027 winter season.

This project will include the construction of a covered pavilion/rink with a finished playing surface of 60 feet x 120 feet. The new accessible facility will include artificial ice refrigeration lines roughed in, rink dasher boards, and renovations to the current changeroom/storage structure on site.

Please use caution when in the area and follow all construction signs, warnings, and construction personnel. Residents and visitors are asked to stay clear of fenced areas and construction equipment for their safety. No impacts are anticipated for any other features within Toanche Park. If there are any changes, the Township will provide an update.

“We are excited to start construction on this long-awaited community project,” said Mayor David Evans. “Having accessible recreational spaces available throughout the township helps to provide opportunities for residents to participate in active lifestyles, contributing to the health and wellness of our community.”
