(Tiny, Ontario) On Saturday August 24, the Township of Tiny hosted the 2024 Farm Crawl. Guests toured several farms and the township’s Community Garden in Perkinsfield Park to experience the rich agricultural history of the community which provides the opportunity to support our local farmers and growers. Tickets for the Farm Crawl were sold for $70 and included admission to all four farms, a guided shuttle bus between locations, breakfast and lunch made by local chefs at Fresh Baked Consulting, and ‘swag bags’ filled with local food and tourism information and some goodies from participating businesses.

Participants toured Barnell Ridge, Monpiero Farms, Thunder Beach Acres, and Windlee Farms. Participants had the opportunity to see various farm animals, take in scenic views during walks through each farm, shop at vendors for local products, and get an inside look at local agricultural and farming operations. The event also supported Tiny’s farmers and growers directly by giving guests an opportunity to purchase products from the farms.

“I want to give a special thank you to all of the farms that participated in this year’s Farm Crawl for inviting the community into your farms, and sharing your knowledge, passion, and love of agriculture,” said Mayor Evans. “It is important to support our local farms as we know that by supporting small businesses, the economic benefits stay in our community”.
