(Tiny, Ontario) The Township of Tiny is excited to host our annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The community is invited to kickoff the holiday season with family and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Perkinsfield Park (43 County Road 6 South). The official tree lighting will take place at 6:00 p.m.

The township will be collecting non-perishable food donations on behalf of the Georgian Bay Food Network which will be distributed throughout the community to those in need ahead of the holiday season.

The celebration includes a variety of delicious food and beverage options including hot chocolate, apple cider, holiday cookies, s’mores by the bonfire, and selections available from the ‘toonie’ food trucks. The food trucks will offer items priced at $2 each such as BeaverTails, sausages, hot dogs, and fries. Please note that quantities are limited and will be provided to residents on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entertainment for the evening will feature a live performance by the Bay Sound Singers, an opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and an array of activities for children and families.

“The Tree Lighting Celebration is Tiny’s annual holiday kickoff, and the whole community is invited to join us,” said Mayor David Evans. “This year’s festivities feature an incredible event lineup including live entertainment, activities, treats, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and of course the grand finale, the tree lighting.”

The Tree Lighting Celebration is proudly brought to you by the generous contributions of various community sponsors and partners. The Township of Tiny would like to thank Lafontaine Iron Werks for the loan of fire pits, BGC North Simcoe and the Springwater Public Library for hosting craft activities, the Midland Public Library for providing outdoor winter activities, and Tim Hortons for the hot chocolate donation.
