(Tiny, Ontario) You’re invited to the Township of Tiny’s first-ever Canada Day celebration! The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to approximately 10:15 p.m. on July 1, 2026, at our incredible waterfront in Balm Beach.
A full day of family-friendly programming is scheduled beginning at 11:30 a.m. with our official opening ceremony including a themed cake cutting and announcements. This free, family-friendly event will feature a variety of live entertainment, activities for kids and families, and a drone light show to end the evening.
Our live music lineup includes the nostalgic sounds of the Beach Bums, one of Canada’s top Beach Boys tribute bands, and the Lonely Hearts Band will open the entertainment playing an array of rock and roll music from the 1950s through to the 2000s.
There are a variety of family-friendly activities available throughout the day such as bouncy castles, midway games, and an obstacle course. The location also provides attendees the opportunity to cool down in the water and visit local businesses.
The Township of Tiny’s first-ever drone light show, is the signature feature of this event that will include imagery that celebrates Canada’s heritage, Tiny’s history, and what makes the community of Tiny unique. The show will conclude the evening’s festivities after dusk. The drone show will also be the first in North Simcoe, emphasizing the excitement for this show at our brand-new event.
Details regarding parking locations, shuttles, and road closures will be announced closer to the event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of active transportation options such as walking or biking where possible.
“We are thrilled to invite the community to our inaugural Canada Day celebration here in Balm Beach with a fantastic lineup of entertainment and activities for everyone,” said Mayor David Evans. “For many residents, Balm Beach was home to the beloved Summerama celebrations for years—events that brought families, neighbours, and visitors together and became a cherished part of summer in Tiny. We are proud to help revive that long-standing tradition of community celebration in a new and exciting way. We have programming happening all day with live music, family activities, and our highly anticipated drone show that will have approximately 200 drones lighting up the sky. We look forward to welcoming residents for a memorable Canada Day on the beach.”
