(Tiny, Ontario) The Township of Tiny is pleased to invite the community to the annual Tree Lighting Celebration to officially kick off the holiday season. Join us on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Perkinsfield Park (43 County Road 6, Tiny, ON L0L 2J0) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., to celebrate with friends and family.

This year’s festivities will include a variety of delicious food and beverage options, including hot chocolate, apple cider, holiday cookies, and warm dinner options, courtesy of Phil's Food Truck. Don't forget to save some room for s'mores as you warm up by the bonfire.

Celebrations include activities for children and adults. All ages are welcome to join Magnolia Knots for a Holiday Wreath Making workshop. For the kids, The Boys and Girls Club of Simcoe Muskoka will be hosting a holiday tree-shaped lantern craft to celebrate the holiday season. The Midland Public Library will also be in attendance to provide outdoor winter activities for the kids to engage in during the event. A friendly reminder to dress accordingly for the festivities.

Quantities are limited and are provided to residents of Tiny on a first come first serve basis.

Residents are encouraged to bring a toy donation for the 2023 Toy Caravan for a chance to be entered into a draw to win a prize at the end of the event.

“Tiny’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration is turning into a milestone event that ushers in the start of the holiday season,” said Mayor David Evans. “Community celebrations like this showcase the vibrancy of our community and create a safe and welcoming space for residents to celebrate the holiday season.”

The Tree Lighting Ceremony is proudly brought to you by various community sponsors and partners. Thank you to Lafontaine Iron Werks for their donation of fire pits, Phil’s Food Truck for supplying a warm dinner, the Boys and Girls Club of Simcoe Muskoka for hosting the craft activity for kids, Magnolia Knots for hosting the Holiday Wreath Making Workshop, and to the Midland Public Library for providing the outdoor winter activities.
