(Tiny, Ontario) June is designated as Parks, Recreation, and Seniors Month in Ontario. The Township of Tiny is excited to invite the community to join us in celebrating parks, recreation, and seniors all month long.
Throughout the month of June, there are a variety of exciting activities and events to bring the community together. For example:
With a median age of 55, the township recognizes that older adults contribute to the vibrancy of our community, and we want to celebrate their contributions to making Tiny such a great place to both live and visit. Some older adults in Tiny even volunteer to help run township recreation programs and keep our parks and beaches clean.
Residents and visitors of Tiny are encouraged to get out and enjoy our many parks and trails throughout the month of June, visit the Off-Leash Dog Park, or explore the beaches throughout the township.
“We are excited to celebrate Parks, Recreation, and Seniors Month with a wide variety of leisure activities that the whole community can take part in,” said Mayor David Evans. “In addition to the array of recreation programs available, we have over 800 acres of parkland, over 70 km of coastline along beautiful Georgian Bay, and a 23 km multi-use recreational trail. There are opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get out and enjoy all that there is to do, see, and experience here in Tiny.”
