(Tiny, On) The Township of Tiny is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its highly anticipated annual Community BBQ event. On Saturday, July 8th, Perkinsfield Park was abuzz with excitement as more than 1,600 residents came together for a day of fun, food, and unforgettable festivities.
The event, which ran from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, exceeded all expectations, providing an exceptional experience for everyone involved. The Township of Tiny extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support and participation.
From the moment the shuttles arrived from Wyevale and Lafontaine, attendees were treated to an array of activities that catered to all ages and interests. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the mouthwatering free BBQ lunch, where attendees indulged in sizzling burgers, perfectly grilled hot dogs, refreshing beverages, juicy watermelon, and delectable treats that satisfied even the sweetest tooth.
The Main Stage came alive with electrifying live music performances, featuring local talent from Gibbons & Figgs and First Nayme Basis. Attendees danced, swayed, and tapped their feet to the vibrant tunes, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration throughout the day.
The vendor fair in the Community Showcase was a bustling hub of creativity and entrepreneurship. Local artisans, vendors, and community groups displayed their talents, offering a wide range of handmade crafts, unique products, and services. The event provided a platform for residents to support local businesses while discovering the incredible talent within the Township of Tiny and its surrounding areas.
The Family Fun Zone brought smiles and laughter to all attendees. The entertainment lineup was nothing short of spectacular, featuring captivating performances from talented individuals such as Emma Reynolds, Magician Gary Austin, Sistema Huronia Music Academy, and the Hoop You Hula Hooping team. In addition to the remarkable performances, attendees also enjoyed a wide range of activities, including exhilarating inflatables, interactive firefighter experiences, enchanting face painting, and presentations from the local libraries.
