TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Tiny has completed a Master Plan Class Environmental
Assessment (Master Plan) for the supply of municipal drinking water to existing and future
residents in serviced areas. The Master Plan identifies the preferred solutions to increase the resiliency of the township’s 16 municipal drinking water systems and to accommodate the anticipated growth to the year 2045.
The Master Plan was prepared in accordance with the Master Plan requirements following
Approach No. 1 of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Municipal Class Environmental
Assessment (as amended in 2023). The list of recommended projects with their Class EA
Schedules is shown below.
The Final Draft of the Master Plan is posted for review on the Township of Tiny project
webpage at: www.tiny.ca/WaterMasterPlan. Comments can be submitted by using the online comment form on the project webpage or by email to the contact below. Comments will be accepted until June 13, 2025, and will be taken into consideration and included in the Final Report. Comments and information received during this Class EA are collected in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. All comments will be part of the public record.

If concerns that this Class EA Update may have potential adverse impacts on protected
Aboriginal and treaty rights that cannot be resolved in discussions with the Township of Tiny, a person or party may request the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) issue an order for a project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act (Section 16(6)) or meet further conditions. Section 16(6) Order requests must be sent to the Minister and to the Director of Environmental Assessment Branch at the addresses below. A copy of the request must also be sent to the contacts above.

If there is no Section 16(6) Order request received by June 13, 2025, the Township intends to
proceed to further Class EA, design and implementation of the recommended projects as per the Final Master Plan Report, and subject to planning, priorities and Council approval.
