Public Notices

The watering ban previously implemented at 12:00 p.m. on August 8, 2025, for all municipal water system users has been lifted as of 9:00 a.m. on August 25, 2025.

The Township recognizes the need for outdoor water usage during the summer months. Residents are encouraged to use their best judgement for outdoor watering to help maintain an adequate water supply for fire suppression and drinking water by only watering your lawn and plants when absolutely necessary and limiting your outdoor water usage for activities like washing vehicles and topping up swimming pools.

Watering Restriction Reminder

Watering restrictions are in effect year-round in the Township of Tiny and are strictly enforced. Odd numbered houses may water on odd numbered days, and even numbered houses may water on even numbered days. Outdoor water usage is permitted from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the designated (odd or even numbered) days.

The watering restrictions apply to all municipal water system users. Tiny’s Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will be monitoring affected areas for compliance. Instances of non-compliance can be reported to the Municipal Law Enforcement Department at 705-526-4204. Non-compliance may result in the issuance of a warning or charge.

Property owners who are seeding or laying down sod may purchase a permit to extend the permitted watering times. Under the permit, property owners may water from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. every day for a period of 14 consecutive days. The cost of the permit is $75.00 for flat-rate properties or $50 for metered properties and can be purchased by contacting the Township Office at 705-526-4204.
