Township By-law Officers patrolled 296km throughout the municipality via bicycles. A total of 32 complaints were responded to for various concerns.
Fireworks Prohibited
With the upcoming Labour Day long weekend approaching, the Township of Tiny would like to remind the community that Fireworks By-law 07-054, prohibits the display of and setting off of fireworks outside of Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Therefore, the discharge of fireworks is strictly prohibited within the municipality outside of these four days. Concerns regarding non-compliance and specific details of the address where the violation is occurring can be reported to the Municipal Law Enforcement Department at 705-526-4204. Non-compliance may result in the issuance of a warning, a charge with fines ranging from $365.00 to $100,000.00, or a summons to appear in court.
Noise Control By-law
The Township of Tiny would like to remind the community that Noise Control By-law #21-028, Section 3.1 states: “No person shall emit or cause or permit the emission of noise resulting from activity listed in Schedule “A” if clearly audible at a point of reception.” The following are two examples of complaints commonly reported to the municipality:
Fire Permit Reminder
All property owners in the township are required to obtain a fire permit before having any outdoor fires. The cost is $30.00 per calendar year, plus a 5 per cent processing fee for online transactions (from the township’s payment service provider). A fire permit may be purchased online with a credit card at: https://www.tiny.ca/firepermit. The fine for failing to obtain a fire permit is $365.00, or a Summons to appear in court.
