Fire and Emergency Services

  • Tiny Fire and Emergency Services continue to manage a high volume of calls and ask the public to call 9-1-1 only in an emergency to ensure the lines are available to those who need assistance. The ice has caused significant damage, with fallen trees along roads making some roads impassable.
  • Reminder to those running generators to operate them outside in a well-ventilated area only. Generators do not belong indoors as they omit carbon monoxide.
  • Residents are advised to stay away from downed power lines, or those with trees on them.

Significant Weather Event

On March 28, 2025, the Township of Tiny declared a Significant Weather Event due to forecasted freezing rain and rainfall amounts that posed a significant danger to roadway users.

This declaration is permitted under the Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways under Ontario Regulation 239/02.

Notice will be provided when the Declaration of Significant Weather Event has been removed based on the township’s ability to achieve the requirements under MMS.
