(Tiny, Ontario) The Township of Tiny has opened two temporary warming centres:

  • Wyebridge Community Centre, located at 8340 Highway 93 – the facility will be open today (March 31, 2025) from 4:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m., and will be open tomorrow (April 1, 2025) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Township of Tiny Office, located at 130 Balm Beach Road West – the facility will be open today (March 31, 2025) until 4:30 p.m., and will be open tomorrow (April 1, 2025) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Township of Tiny has secured an additional backup generator to open a second warming centre in Wyebridge as the existing backup generators are being used to power municipal water stations and emergency services communications. The township’s spare backup generator is currently in use as one of the water stations’ generators is undergoing repair.

Residents are advised to bring their own chargers to use power for their cell phone devices.

What is available at the warming centres:

  • Washrooms
  • Power for charging cell phone devices (please bring your charger)

For residents that need access to potable water, the public refill station located at 39 Balm Beach Road West is available. This location can accommodate larger water jugs and coolers that can be filled from the taps.

Tiny remains under a significant weather event declaration, and several updates are available on www.tiny.ca. We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation following this past weekend’s ice storm and resulting power outages and provide updates when available.
