The Township of Tiny regretfully must cancel the Winter Carnaval d’Hiver scheduled for today from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. due to extreme cold weather.
With a cold weather warning in effect and wind chill values reaching -30°C or below, the decision was made to cancel the event in the interest of safety for all participants, staff, volunteers, performers, and vendors.
As a result of the cancellation, scheduled public skating staff shifts for today are also cancelled; however, the outdoor rinks will remain open for public use.
Township staff are currently working to reschedule the Winter Carnaval d’Hiver and will confirm a new date once vendor availability has been reviewed.
The Township would like to thank all sponsors, vendors, and volunteers for their time and dedication in planning this community event. We appreciate the community’s understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
