Township of Tiny Council passed Parking Amendment By-law 26-033 at the August 5, 2026, meeting of Council.
Amendments to the parking by-law have shortened the time required for permit parking in Tiny from the previous schedule of April 15th to October 15th to the new dates of May 14th to September 15th, annually.
As noted in the Council resolution, Council continues to support the usage of Township of Tiny beaches on a resident first, neighbours second, and tourist third model. These changes are intended to help drive economic development for local businesses through increased neighbour and tourist usage in the shoulder seasons. These time periods are not as busy as the summer months, and are aimed at benefiting the Tiny business community.
Parking permits are still valid until September 15th. If you have not obtained one for 2026, residents can get up to two parking permits per address, with the first permit being free of charge, and the second offered at a nominal fee.
Staff are working to update signage throughout the township to reflect the new dates.
