Township of Tiny Community Centre (91 Concession 8 East, Tiny)
Spending time in nature can have powerful benefits for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Join Karen Chaplin, a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, for an informative indoor presentation exploring how simple, accessible experiences in nature can help reduce stress, improve overall well-being, and support healthy aging. Karen will share practical ways to connect more deeply with the natural world and incorporate nature into your everyday life.
Following the presentation, participants who wish to do so are invited to take part in an easy, guided outdoor walk around the community centre designed to encourage mindfulness, relaxation, and appreciation of nature at a comfortable pace. After the walk, enjoy tea and an opportunity for discussion and reflection. Whether you choose to attend the presentation only or also join the optional outdoor experience, you'll discover how spending time in nature can contribute to a healthier, more balanced, and more mindful life.
Tiny's Senior Advisory Committee, in partnership with local clubs and service providers, is excited to host various workshops addressing topics and issues related to seniors, older adults, and their caregivers. More information: www.tiny.ca/seniors/programs
