Join Monica Marquis, a Certified Medical Qigong Practitioner with over 20 years of teaching experience, and Janet Thorpe, Reflexology Practitioner and Reiki Master, for a two-part introduction to these wellness practices. Learn about Qigong (pronounced "chi-kung"), an ancient movement practice and precursor to Tai Chi that is enjoyed by people around the world for its potential benefits, including improved balance, flexibility, strength, energy, and overall well-being. Participants will have the opportunity to try simple standing Qigong movements suitable for all abilities. No floor work or special equipment required.

The session will then introduce reflexology, a natural touch therapy based on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands, and head correspond to different areas of the body. Learn about the principles of reflexology, how sessions are typically conducted, and why many people incorporate this practice into their personal wellness routines. Whether you are looking for new ways to stay active, manage stress, or support healthy aging, this informative and interactive presentation offers practical wellness strategies in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Tiny's Senior Advisory Committee, in partnership with local clubs and service providers, is excited to host various workshops addressing topics and issues related to seniors, older adults, and their caregivers. More information: www.tiny.ca/seniors/programs
