Access to reliable broadband internet service is a vital part of everyday life. In recognition of its importance, Council established an Ad Hoc Broadband Committee consisting of council members and staff. The Committee was tasked with determining the true cost of making broadband internet available to all constituents, as well as funding opportunities and potential partnerships that can be explored to make good, stable, and affordable high speed internet a reality.
The Township of Tiny is working purposefully to identify the best solution for today and what the future might hold for our community. The Township has been supportive of private sector vendors' broadband infrastructure development applications to existing public funding, which if approved could result in the elimination of service gaps.
