On June 13, 2026 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Midland's downtown core and waterfront parks will host 200+ vendors and food trucks for Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival presented by Chapman's. Midland's festival has been voted by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in the province since 2019! 

Mark your calendars! The Cruisin’ Classics Car Show is rolling into downtown Midland on Sunday, August 16. Starting at 11:00 a.m., King Street will be transformed into a showcase of classic cars. Stroll the street, admire the vintage rides, and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere in the heart of downtown.

Have a classic car built in 2006 or prior? Apply to join before July 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., and enter to win great prizes.

This Candidate Information Session, hosted in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, will begin with a presentation from the Ministry and be followed by a Question and Answer period. 

New and seasoned candidates are encouraged to attend this informative session to learn about the responsibilities set out in the legislation for both candidates and third-party advertisers, and a general overview of the roles and responsibilities of Members of Council.

The purpose of the Tree Seedling Distribution Program is to encourage private landowners in the Severn Sound area to plant native trees and shrubs, improving environmental health.
