Severn Sound Environmental Association and several North Simcoe municipalities are working together to implement the Tree Seedling Distribution Program.

The purpose of the Tree Seedling Distribution Program is to encourage private landowners in the Severn Sound area to plant native trees and shrubs, improving environmental health.

The Wyevale Parks and Recreation Association is hosting the annual Wyevale Santa Claus Parade with a 2025 theme of "Cowboy Christmas". You're invited to come out and enjoy the parade starting at 7 p.m. Donations are being collected for the Elmvale and District Food Bank. 

Parade Route:

Join the Penetanguishene Centennial Museum for some festive fun! Enjoy cookie decorating, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and of course, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Admission is just $6 per child and accompanying adults are free. 5 time slots are available from 9:30 to 11:30. Registration is required.

Join us for a powerful evening of storytelling, remembrance, and local history as we explore Penetanguishene’s connection to the First and Second World Wars.

Featured speakers include:
Burke Thompson, son of A.B. Thompson, a survivor of the legendary ‘Great Escape’
John Dubeau, local historian and Special Guests.

Students can explore storytelling, teamwork, and strategy through Dungeons & Dragons: Adventure Begins — a fast-paced, cooperative board game that’s a great introduction to the world of D&D.

An engaging, info-packed session with Lisa at the MTO on getting their driver’s license! Students 15-18 will get practical tips for passing the G1 and road tests, and review key rules of the road. The session will also highlight helpful MPL resources to support new drivers.

A fun, relaxed ukulele jam session at the library. Whether participants are just starting out or already love to strum, everyone is welcome. It’s a great way to learn new songs, build confidence, and connect through music. Participants can bring their own ukulele or borrow one (while supplies last). Drop-in, no registration required.

Students can earn volunteer service hours assisting library staff with a variety of tasks, including craft preparation and book stamping. Snacks and refreshments provided.
