Amphibian BioBlitz & Workshop
Frogs, skinks and salamanders - learn all about Ontario's amphibians!
This workshop is run by well-known environmentalist Josh Feltham. It is designed to teach participants about amphibian ID, ecology, and then get out and put their skills into practice during a 1.5 amphibian BioBlitz hike at Wye Marsh.
What to expect at this workshop:
1 hour – ID and ecology of Ontario Amphibians and Blitz Preparation (Indoor)
Join the Wye Marsh for stargazing, and learning all about astronomy during the Perseid Meteor Shower!
Enjoy a memorable night on the boardwalk under a blanket of stars and watch the annual meteor shower erupt during this time of maximum meteor activity.

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is that viruses can not only be lethal but are also cunning and opportunistic. Scientists around the world are working to stay one step ahead of emerging and evolving viruses through the development of vaccines and antiviral medication. In some cases, treatment regimens of antiviral medications are curing diseases that were once death sentences.
Learn about the benefits and proper use of walking poles, including a group test walk. Nordic Pole Walking can be great, low-impact exercise! The program will consist of a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation on the benefits, the proper use, and handling of walking poles, followed by a 30-minute training/ demonstration session.
Participants can bring their own poles, however, those who do not will be provided with them.
Walk-ins are accepted for individuals 12+ receiving their
dose 1, 2, 3 or booster and kids 5-11 for paediatric dose 1 and 2.
