Outdoor Recreation Programs Cancelled due to Air Quality Warning

Alert level
Medium

Due to the current Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) and the ongoing wildfire smoke affecting our region, the Township of Tiny has cancelled all outdoor recreation programs for the evening of Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and throughout Thursday, July 16, 2026.

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, and staff remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide additional updates as the air quality improves or if further program changes are required.

Summer Day Camp Programming
Summer Day Camp programming will continue to operate with modifications. Camp staff have adjusted programming to minimize outdoor exposure, with campers remaining indoors for the duration of the Air Quality Health Index advisory whenever possible. Outdoor activities will be limited to essential transitions and only where necessary.

Participants registered in affected recreation programs will be contacted directly where applicable.

Indoor Programs
Indoor recreation programs will continue as normal.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we respond to these changing conditions. Updates will be shared through the Township of Tiny website and official social media channels as they become available.
