The Township of Tiny will be offering Internet and Telephone Voting from Tuesday, October 13, 2026, until Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
For voters who require assistance, there will be an Election Help Centre, located at the Township Office, 130 Balm Beach Road West, beginning October 13 (date and times TBD). Election staff will be available to provide support with the voting process.
The list of Uncertified Candidates will be updated as Nomination Papers are submitted.

Candidate Information Session Notice
Anyone interested in running for office in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections is encouraged to attend one of these sessions.
Each session, hosted in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, will begin with a presentation from the Ministry and be followed by a Question and Answer period.
New and seasoned candidates are encouraged to attend this informative session to learn about the responsibilities set out in the legislation for both candidates and third-party advertisers, and a general overview of the roles and responsibilities of Members of Council.
Staff from the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene and the Townships of Tay and Tiny will be present.

Notice of Nomination - Council 2026
Municipal and School Board Elections will be held on Monday October 26, 2026. The term of office will be November 15, 2026 to November 14, 2030.
Notice is hereby given that as of Friday, May 1, 2026 nominations may be filed in person, or by an authorized agent during regular business hours, by appointment only, in the Clerk’s Office between May 1, 2026 and August 20, 2026 and on Friday, August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day) between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Nominations must be submitted on the prescribed form and must include endorsement signatures from at least 25 eligible electors, be signed by the candidate and be accompanied by the prescribed nomination filing fee ($200 for Head of Council and $100 for all other offices). The prescribed forms and candidate qualification information will be available by mid-April at any of the Municipal Offices or on their respective websites.
Nomination Papers must be filed with the respective Municipal Clerk of the municipality for which you are seeking office before you can accept contributions or spending money for your campaign.

Section 88.30 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 requires that every person that has filed a nomination paper with the Township of Tiny to participate as a candidate in the Municipal Elections (even those persons who subsequently withdraw their candidacy) file a financial statement with the Township Clerk no later than 2:00 p.m. on March 31, 2023.
The financial statements detail the income and expenses incurred during a candidate’s campaign.
Pursuant to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the official copies of the candidates’ financial filing statements are the hard copies filed manually with the Clerk. These documents are public documents and are available for inspection at the Clerk’s Department during normal business hours and upon appointment.Section 88(9.1) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 provides that the Clerk shall make the documents filed under sections 88.25, 88.29, and 88.32 available at no charge for viewing by the public on a website or in another electronic format as soon as possible after the documents are filed.

Gibb WishartThe Compliance Audit Committee is mandated by the Municipal Elections Act and governed by the Township of Tiny By-law 22-066. The Compliance Audit Committee is an investigative/adjudicative body created to enforce provincially enacted laws related to municipal election campaign funding.
An application may be submitted by an elector who is entitled to vote in the municipal election and believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate or registered third-party advertiser has contravened a provision of the Municipal Elections Act relating to election campaign finances.
