TAKE NOTICE that Township of Tiny Council is holding a public meeting on September 3rd, 2025, at 5:00 PM to discuss proposed development charge rates as well as the policies that will be applied throughout the Township. Council will be considering the approval of an updated development charges by-law on a date following this public meeting.
Development charges are fees on new developments that fund growth-related costs to a municipality which are governed by the Development Charges Act, 1997. The Development Charges Background Study relates to the provision of eligible Development Charge Services which includes Police Services, Fire Services, Parks and Recreation, Services Related to a Highway (Public Works and Roads) and Development-Related Studies.
The public meeting is an opportunity for the public to review and provide comments on the Development Charges Background Study and the proposed updated development charges by-law, as required under The Development Charges Act, 1997.

The proposed development charges by-law will not be considered by Council at this meeting. The by-law will be considered by Council at a future meeting, after receiving comments through the public meeting and the consultation process.
The Development Charges Background Study is available for review on the Township’s website at Development Charges By-law Update | Township of Tiny/. The proposed updated Development Charges By-law will be made available on the Township’s website at least two weeks before the public meeting.
Any person may attend the meeting in person or virtually to make a submission or to ask a question regarding the Development Charges Background Study and the proposed updated Development Charges By-law. Please visit tiny.ca/deputations for instructions on how to make a virtual deputation. You will be provided with further instructions on how you will connect during the virtual meeting. Written submissions are requested to be submitted by noon on Tuesday September 2, 2025 for inclusion in the agenda. Comments received before and at the public meeting will be considered by Council before making any changes to the development charges by-law.
