Celebrate the many murals in Midland at the inaugural Midland Mural Festival, hosted by the Town of Midland and happening September 28, 2024. 

There will be something for the whole family to enjoy here!

Georgian Bay Tugboat Festival

The 2024 Georgian Bay Tugboat Festival will be held at the Midland Town Harbour 10am-5pm August 17, 2024 with free admission to the festival.

This family friendly event will have lots of fun activities, including a tug race, tug demonstrations, and a tug push contest. Hundreds of visitors will join us for live music, buskers, face painting, and vendors! Select tugboats will be open for tours in the afternoon. The tugboat parade of lights to be held on Friday August 16 at dusk.

Opening Day at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons

Ontario’s first European Community, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was the headquarters for the French Jesuit Mission to the Huron-Wendat people. In 1639, the Jesuits, along with French lay workers, began construction of a palisaded community that included barracks, a church, workshops, residences, and a sheltered area for Indigenous visitors. This community was abandoned and burned down in 1649.

Waypoint’s Mental Health in Motion is back in person and we can’t wait!

On Friday May 10th join Waypoint at the Community Health Hub, 287 Bayshore Drive, Midland between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a BBQ, self-directed walk on Rotary Trail, Hub and enjoy activities to mark Mental Health Week.

Over the past ninth years, Mental Health in Motion has raised over $138,000 to support patients at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and encouraged our community to make their mental health a priority.

The Bay Studio Tour is presenting their 15th Annual Artist Tour. Artisans welcome visitors to their Studios at 23 unique locations, showcasing 34 participants from the Township of Tiny, the Town of Penetanguishene, and the shores of Georgian Bay. Visitors delight in the creative experiences at each Studio as they demonstrate their talents in this special event. Be sure to include this in your Fall Calendars. Painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, photography, fibre art, glasswork, woodwork, metalwork, and mixed media will be offered.
