Canada Day

For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, visitors are strongly encouraged to remain within the designated Canada Day Event Area, identified by the purple boundary line on the event site map.

The event boundary has been established to support:

• Public safety and crowd management
• Emergency vehicle access
• Event operations and programming
• Designated accessible routes and amenities
• Drone show safety requirements

Please note that areas outside the designated event boundary are not part of the Canada Day event site and may have limited services, programming, or event supervision.

Visitors are also reminded to respect all posted signage, barriers, and restricted areas, including the designated drone launch area and emergency access lanes.

Our live music lineup includes the nostalgic sounds of the Beach Bums, one of Canada’s top Beach Boys tribute bands, and the Lonely Hearts Band will open the entertainment playing an array of rock and roll music from the 1950s through to the 2000s. 

The Township of Tiny’s first-ever drone light show, is the signature feature of this event that will include imagery that celebrates Canada’s heritage, Tiny’s history, and what makes the community of Tiny unique. The show will conclude the evening’s festivities after dusk. The drone show will also be the first in North Simcoe, emphasizing the excitement for this show at our brand-new event.

There are a variety of family-friendly activities available throughout the day such as bouncy castles, midway games, and an obstacle course. The location also provides attendees the opportunity to cool down in the water and visit local businesses. 

Parking Information

Parking enforcement will be in full effect.

Vehicles parked illegally or blocking emergency routes may be ticketed and towed without warning at the owner’s expense, in accordance with no parking signs.

Permit parking regulations remain in effect; these areas are identified on the Parking Map.

Accessible parking spaces will be available within the Balm Beach area on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors with mobility constraints are encouraged to arrange a ride and use the designated drop-off and unloading zones identified on the parking map.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, use shuttle services, walk or bike where possible, follow posted signage and staff direction, and refer to event-specific maps for parking locations and shuttle services.

• Township Office – 130 Balm Beach Road West
• Perkinsfield Park – 43 County Road 6 South
• Georgian Shores Seniors Centre (parking only – no shuttle service)

Road Closures and Detours

Please be advised that temporary road closures and detours will be in effect throughout the Balm Beach area on July 1 as part of the Township of Tiny Canada Day celebrations.

Closures and traffic control measures will begin early July 1 and remain in place into midday on July 2.

Key Traffic Measures Include:

• Local traffic only restrictions on select residential streets
• Designated detour routes
• Temporary barricades and road closures
• Increased parking enforcement
• Shuttle bus operations and pedestrian crossings

Motorists are encouraged to:

• Avoid the immediate Balm Beach area if not attending the event
• Follow posted detour signage
• Allow extra travel time
• Utilize remote parking areas where possible

Road Closure and Detour Public Notice

Shuttle buses will operate throughout the day and evening to assist visitors travelling to and from the event area.

Important Notes:

Shuttle users, specifically those intending to stay until the end of the Drone Show, should expect extended wait times when leaving the event site. 

Shuttle service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

The final shuttle departure to the event from remote parking locations will be at 9:00 p.m. Afterward, shuttle service will continue transporting guests from the event back to the remote parking areas until 11:30 p.m.

Shuttle parking and pick-up locations are located at:

• Township Office – 130 Balm Beach Road West
• Perkinsfield Park – 43 County Road 6 South

Shuttle drop-off for the event and pick-up from the event will be located at the Parent Road Municipal Parking Lot (8 Parent Road), a short walk from the main event entrance.
